Obtaining legal advice before you buy and undertaking the relevant enquiries means you can attend the auction or make an offer to purchase with confidence.



When looking to purchase your home, you will need to decide on who you wish to have guide you through your purchase transaction.

Every jurisdiction has different types of representatives permitted to assist buyers with their home purchase.

These people have various different titles including solicitors, attorneys. Lawyers, conveyancers, land agents or brokers, transfer agents, para-legals and the like.

Most property transfer work is done by lawyers, solicitors or attorneys who are university or college trained professionals.

Some people even do their own conveyancing however we would not recommend this for first home buyers. If you have been working your way through our various steps, you will be aware of the myriad of considerations and decisions that need to be made and with which a trained professional will be able to assist you.

Problems or complicated issues will invariably arise that you are not able to resolve without benefit of legal advice and experience.

There are a myriad of websites, forms, do-it-yourself kits and the like available and many people are tempted to try and do their own legal work. But why would you? Would you attempt your own electrical or plumbing work when you can obtain the services of an experienced and qualified electrician or plumber?
