Home Research

Now - home research.

You have already worked out your budget – you know how much you will be able to borrow and have your documents prepared for your prospective lender.

What type of home are you looking for?

Unit, Townhouse, freestanding house, rural property? What size and features would you like? What type of construction?

Number of bedrooms, bathrooms, living space, outdoors – your wish list?

What location?

Close to work, schools, leisure activities, environment, neighbourhood, outlook?

It is unlikely that you will find a home with everything you want in the location you want.

Finding the right home within budget and with features you want is a matter of compromise.

It is all about home research – working out what you want and then finding it.

A. Write out a list of the features that you think you can realistically expect for your budget

B. Find a selection of properties that fit the bill

First - list the home features you would like by following our home features guide
